Stephanie Jarrett advises families with cross-border connections on their family and business governance, legal and tax issues, succession planning, asset protection and charitable planning, typically involving trusts or other suitable tools. 

Stephanie provides training/coaching/mediation to UHNW families, private investment offices, and related institutions on strategic, protective, tax and legal issues.  Communication and preparedness are key elements on which Stephanie works with families which often have or will have to face challenges such as the transition of business and other responsibilities to family members, the integration of adopted and step-children, unexpected incapacity and death, the ESG policies of families and their investing, and often keeping families connected to the local communities where they operate.  

Stephanie works with families from all geographical regions and cultures, primarily in English and French as well as in Spanish, German and Italian. 

Stephanie continues to be ranked by top legal directories, is Chairperson of the Geneva branch of STEP, is a STEP Council member and is a member of Advisory Board of SATC having been a prime mover behind the Swiss regulation of trust companies. She lectures on post-graduate courses at Swiss universities.

Stephanie left Baker McKenzie in the autumn of 2019 where she had been Managing Partner of the Geneva office and Chair/member of various tax and wealth management committees over the years as well as editor of its Private Wealth Newsletter since joining the firm in 2000.
